Dr. Li Kang

Dr. Li Kang holds a degree in Aquatic Ecology from Chongqing University (China), and completed her PhD in 2023 at the Aquatic Ecology and Water Quality Management Group at Wageningen University & Research (the Netherlands).
In 2024, she continued as a postdoctoral researcher at Wageningen, contributing to the EU-funded HORIZON-MISS-2023-OCEAN FutureLakes project. Her research focuses on freshwater eutrophication and lake restoration, with particular expertise in evaluating compounds and techniques to reduce nutrient loading and control cyanobacterial blooms.
She has worked extensively with restoration methods such as Phoslock, Aqual-P, Hydrogen Peroxide, Copper, Iron, Alum, and dredging. She has authored several scientific publications on lake management.
In 2025, Li joined LSI, bringing her expertise in lake restoration and aquatic ecology.
